In Symon’s first grade yearbook she wrote that her dream was to become a singer. “So, I definitely knew at a very young age that I wanted to make that my reality,” said Symon.“What made me want to become a musician was the impact that the artists I looked up to as a kid had on me and how the songs they wrote had such an influence on my life. So, I would hope in my journey of being an artist that I too will make a difference just like those did before me. I knew as hard as it was to get into this business that nothing else would make me happy in my life so I had to go for it,” Symon said. Symon eventually brought that dream to fruition. She began writing and performing songs, and became the lead singer of the band, The New Officials. The band collaborated with David Foster and toured with Demi Lovato. Later, Symon began her solo career. She signed to Artbeatz, a company ran by music industry veterans, Steven Zap and Gino “Farrago” Barletta. “Being signed to Artbeatz by Steve Zap and Gino Barletta has been the most incredible experience of my life thus far,” Symon said. “To have a force behind you that believes in you and what you stand for is everything in this business.” “In less than a year I have been on radio tours, opened up for some incredible artists, had a top 50 single in pop radio, and have booked my own radio show on Sirius XM Hits 1 and this is all because of my incredible team at Artbeatz. I feel so blessed to have them and to continue on this journey with them.” She recently released a new single, “No Way (I’m F**king You)”. “My new single was inspired by a date I had actually,” Symon said. “Without even knowing my last name this guy just wanted to get in my pants and I definitely was not about that.” “After that situation happened I had a session with my executive producer Gino Barletta and told him the situation and that’s how “No Way” was born!” “No Way is an anthem, not just for women but for everyone. If you don’t want to have sex with someone then don’t, my body my choice. I feel like this is something a lot of people can relate to these days so I wanted to openly discuss this topic.”The single is a teaser for Symon’s debut album, which Symon plans to release in the next few months. “In my album, you can expect to hear about my journey in my 20s, happiness, relationships, sex, vulnerability and some pop anthems,” Symon said. “I am so incredibly excited to share this body of work with
everyone.”Symon describes her sound as pop with a mixture of other genres, including: R&B and EDM (Electric Dance Music). She loves interacting with fans. She is currently, “obsessed with Instagram Live—it’s too fun.” “Also, nothing is better than when fans send you Snapchats of your song on the radio and them singing to it—absolutely priceless.” Symon look forward to furthering her musical career. “In the next five years, I would love to have two albums out, have toured the world, been in feature films, have a fashion line and be the first female president and be in love,” said Symon “Is that too much to ask for?”
