Inas X takes being “Stupid” to an entirely new level.  Her hit song has her fans wanting more and they’ll get that because she’s just getting started. With collaborations with Timbaland, Pnb Rock and a number of other industry heavy hitters Inas X is well on her way to another chart topping hit. After topping the Billboard dance club songs charts at #11 with “Love Is” Inas X has been nonstop in the studio. We got a chance to talk with Inas X about landing at the top on Billboard, love and what her future looks like.

How did your love and drive for music begin?

I’ve always loved music and singing! I started creating when I was 18. I was singing with a group of people one day and they were like “Inas you can sing”. It kind of rung a bell for me and hit me at a very important time when I was doing serious soul searching.  Ever since it’s been all in for me; I started getting coaching and went off. I guess I was blessed to find my purpose early you know.

Has your love for it increased with the journey? If so why?

Yes of course; my passions became my business. My forms of expression, I realized I can change the world with or at least inspire those to do so. The business of course has down falls but the art and the fans make it worth it. Always goes back to purpose I guess.

Can you tell us more about your decision to write the song “Love Is”?

I created “Love Is” after the Supreme Court decision giving equal marriage to all but it became a movement. A movement of love, that everyone is deserving of loving and being loved. Love comes in so many forms and ways but is the most powerful entity in the world. I only dreamed but didn’t know all the love it would go on to receive would become possible. It being on the dance charts and doing so well, I’m so thankful for all of the love.

What was the writing process like for your recent single “Stupid”? What methods did you use?

My producer and I just talked concepts one day. I was in a bad relationship at the time which thankfully I’ve learned so much from. I was venting in the studio and DavIX played me beats, I started writing my feelings and made “Stupid” we made it in like one day! A few weeks later me and PnB did a show together in PA and I played it for him; he got on it that night and the rest is history.

Do you feel that you were able to conquer the emotions that came with that relationship after letting the world hear your story?

Of course. I wanted to be very honest, I think honesty always wins. It’s vulnerable and scary but I know people connect and that’s what matters to me

“Stupid” was a hit! What are your plans to top the song’s success?

More music, more art and new ventures! I’ve been evolving as an artist, person and a woman and I’m excited to share with the world.
